Advantages

Normally, taking on-line guitar lesson offers the student a great chance to avoid inconveniences such as commuting, traffic jams or bad weather. Nowadays, when we are facing extremely hard times due the COVID-19 pandemic, taking on-line guitar lessons will give you a great chance to satisfy your needs to make music saving any geographical distance that could exist between you and your instructor.

The on-line guitar lessons follow, in principle, the traditional guidelines of musical instrument lessons, except that the explanations and indications are given by Zoom or Skype.

After the lesson,  you will receive an e-mail containing a summary of all the indications that have been given during the lesson in order you to take into account, all the points where you could have found difficulties and the solutions that could be offered to you. This is also very useful to have the student recall where he or she should pay more attention to. In in-person lessons, even though such kinds of indications are usually notated on the student’s scores, they are usually forgotten.

In addition to this, if considered necessary, ad hoc video-clips containing demonstrations and explanations in order to help you to solve any specific difficulty could be sent. Of course, you can record the lessons in order to recall any indication or to watch again any explanation. This is a great way to have the instructor available 24 hours a day 7 days a week!

Lessons Length and Frequency

A regular on-line lesson lasts 55 minutes. A recommended pace to learn to play an instrument is taking a 55-minute lesson once a week. However, according to your possibilities or needs, lessons length and frequency can vary (1h 25’ lessons weekly, one 55 minutes lesson every two weeks, or any other possibility of lessons length and frequency are also available).

After taking a lesson, it is of absolute importance to dedicate time to practicing during the week and that to try to follow all the indications that could have given to you. Remember: the more you practice, the more you progress. Try to practice regularly between lessons. It is more profitable to practice every day a little bit, than practicing a lot just once a week.
